By Appointment only due to preceptorship abbilities

I began my nursing career during my senior year of high school.  At first nursing was a way to care for people.  As my career advanced, I realized there are many facets to nursing, but caring, knowledge of how to care for clients, and professionalism are core concepts that are needed to provide skilled competent care.
My nursing clinical background includes Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, and Medical-Surgical. I have experience in the classroom teaching within the PN program as well as Allied Health core classes. Here at Bainbridge State College, I teach OB and Pediatrics and team teach in the Medical-Surgical and Psychiatric courses.  I also serve as a clinical coordinator for the Preceptorship course.

Adult Health Nursing Concepts 1

This first adult health nursing course, which continues to build on the Bainbridge
College’s ADN Program’s core nursing components, introduces the student to the
provision and management of nursing care to diverse adult clients in the acute care
setting. Evidence based practice, health promotion and maintenance, nutrition, legal
and ethical issues, pharmacology, and drug calculations are incorporated into course
and clinical practice. Increasingly complex nursing skills are performed in the
laboratory. Clinical practice focuses on the development of assessment skills, safe
medication administration, and implementation of the nursing process.
