I began my nursing career during my senior year of high school. At first nursing was a way to care for people. As my career advanced, I realized there are many facets to nursing, but caring, knowledge of how to care for clients, and professionalism are core concepts that are needed to provide skilled competent care.
My nursing clinical background includes Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, and Medical-Surgical. I have experience in the classroom teaching within the PN program as well as Allied Health core classes. Here at Bainbridge State College, I teach OB and Pediatrics and team teach in the Medical-Surgical and Psychiatric courses. I also serve as a clinical coordinator for the Preceptorship course. I continue to work in an OB department to keep my skills up to date.
